Execution of experimental work of the thermal protection of hull and steam lines on the large antisubmarine ship “Levchenko” and heavy aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov”.

After the insulation work the temperature on the insulated surface of steam pipeline of boiler unit was 47 °C (heat carrier temperature – superheated steam – 170 ° C). This work provided the protection of personnel from burns. In addition, due to the application of thermal insulation it was possible occurrence of condensation on the board partitions and the deck of the hold.
